I just wonder how all this talk about breastfeeding and attachment parenting effects women who want to breastfeed and are unable to, either due to their own issues or their baby refusing the nipple. What a devastating thing to overcome wouldn't you think?

I agree! I also wonder how it effects families who adopt and go straight to formula. Do they feel "less than" because their child isn't breastfed? I doubt it!! Everyone gets to parent in their own way and it's all good.
